The Silencer.

Eh... It's okay.

Just Nuts & Bolts

My first attempt at the Blob Brush in illustrator...LOVE IT! I am definitely going to be using this tool a lot more!

Robo Doodles

From left to right: Libyan robot (seen here), maybe a luchador-bot, Iron Giant from memory, something or other, Bluesbot, and the million dollar concept for Robobabies.

The Odd Couple

I don't draw robots very often, and I love mechs. So I thought I would play around with them. That and practice my cross hatching.

Regurgitated Piece

This is a guy I created for the Kids Club Magazine in 2004-ish. I was struggling too badly with my favorite subject (robots), so I'm just going to add him for now.

Robotastic

Not a Robot...Mario

My kids only really want to draw superheroes and Mario characters. I cannot motivate the artists to move past these subjects. Sorry robot theme.

The first was drawn by a first grade male. He has drawn King Koopa (clearly at the far right) who is holding the Princess in his magical swirling vice grip. Mario (at top) has come to save her. At first, I thought it was Luigi that was captured and thus did not narrate the correct characters to my male friend, Zak. The drawing below is his rendition of the above drawing. He wants me to color it but I can't stand to ruin good stuff until I've had a few glasses of wine.

Robotosaurus

So I have been falling behind, and since I was not liking the way my other dinosaur movie was turning out I figured this would work. It was one of those ones that just worked. I may color it some more later, but for now this will have to do. Hope you like it!

Reggie the Robot

This is the first attempt at a robot. Hopefully I have some time and can do another one.

Student drawing of a Spineosaurus [sic]

This drawing was done by a first grade male. He knew exactly what he was drawing and knows pretty much everything about dinosaurs. He is a true artist. Also, he wears suits to school every day.

Top Heavy Dino.

Hello!!! It's getting cold in here.

The K–T extinction event

And now we know the truth about how the dinosaurs reacted to the K-T Extinction event. (side note: the dinosaur was not drawn by me. I just did the color and other elements [let the mocking begin]).

The Rare Albino Tardosaurus

All the scientists thought he became extinct because of his unfortunate skin coloring. This latest computer re-creation has spawned new theories.

Freddy vs. Jason vs. St. Patrick's Day

Dinosaurs! (and Santa Claus... and a reindeer... and Bella... and Daddy))

I decided to post this because it fit with the theme. My 2 1/2 year old, Bella, told me what to draw, we painted it together.
Also, all those scribbles are Cinderella, Mommy, another reindeer (right by the yellow reindeer's nose) and a rocket ship.

..and they called it the Lucky Charm Massacre.

Just a few more marshmallow ideas. Anyway, I finally made it... even if it is just as the theme changes.

New Theme: Dinosaurs!

I'd say we were almost unanimously in favor of making dinosaurs the theme. So let's go ahead and roll it out. Go ahead and post your St. Patrick's Day pictures when you finish them and lets get started drawing some dinos.

St. Patricks Day

Wishing you and yours a happy St. Patricks Day.

a feel for them)

Suggestions

It seems like the St. Patrick's Day theme is starting to slow down a little. Does anybody have some suggestions for another theme we could kick off?

I call it dumb luck

Yep. I had an Irish Setter. I think I've captured his essence accurately.

Not done with the monster...well, alright.

I don't know that I am done with the monster theme just yet, but okay. I love making the eyes. I think they just say, "you look delicious with corned beef and cabbage," don't you?

What are you looking at, Leprechaun!

Here is my first attempt at illustrating with my tablet in illustrator. Hope you all enjoy. Hopefully, as I get more comfortable with the tablet, my drawing will get better.

Belated Monster!!

Jolly Old Saint Patricklus!

A long distant cousin, twice removed, to Saint Nicholas.
Actually, Santa's nasty little cousin Dumpling (hey I don't make this stuff up)
had a "brief" encounter with a little person.
The kind that you get to toss at bars. Long story "short",
their baby... had absolutely no relation to Saint Patricklus.

Spider Lift

So it may not be the best color job, but I thought I had better post it quick since the theme is changing. This is what happens when I try to think up a creature while I watch Indiana Jones.

Not St. Patty's themed...Superhero themed

Different student this time...first grade male. I will paraphrase as I do not remember many exact quotes.

The blue is water, duh. The being closest to the bottom is Spiderman with his web being thrown to the top of the scene. The Green Goblin is on top of his board with orange bombs on it attacking Spiderman (He drew the Green Goblin brown so I had to remind him of what color he really should be. You're welcome, folks). I am unsure of who is being attacked at the top of the scene but it does not look good for them. In a later drawing by the same student and another male kindergarten student, I (yes, the speech therapist) was being held captive in jail by the Green Goblin and Spiderman, Batman, and Robin were all trying to save me. Unfortunately, they did not save me but they all escaped before the bomb went off and I died, tragically, at the hands of the "bad guy".

I now fear that the Green Goblin is after me and that even with superheroes, I cannot be saved. Any reassuring words would be helpful.

Saint Patty's Day! 'Twill be our newest theme.
